Cody Barnes founded 1912 Films in 2019 after earning his B.F.A. in Motion Picture and Television Production from Western Carolina University. His background spans independent films, television, and digital media, giving him a wide range of experience both behind the camera and in the editing room.

Based in Bowling Green, KY, Cody serves couples and clients throughout the Nashville and Louisville areas. With 1912 Films, he focuses on weddings, promotional projects, and social media content. He combines professional technique with a creative eye to capture authentic moments and tell stories that feel personal, timeless, and true to each client. Every project is approached with the same goal—creating films that not only document an event, but reflect the emotion and energy of the people at the heart of it.
